I believe our students deserve an education that prepares them for future success, our teachers deserve the support necessary to do their jobs well, parents deserve to be respected as essential partners in their children's education, and taxpayers deserve to know that their resources are being used wisely.

A child is a parent’s most valuable treasure and our community's greatest asset; likewise, our teachers and staff are the heartbeat of our school family. This is why keeping our children, teachers, and staff safe within our school buildings is imperative!
School safety is not just about physical security measures. Within our schools, bullying, misconduct, and fighting cannot be tolerated. Not only are these behaviors unsafe, but they can seriously undermine the learning environment and, more importantly, have a lasting impact on a developing child.
By addressing behavioral concerns, fostering support for our teachers, and strengthening school policies designed to curb disruptive and unwanted behaviors, I am eagerly working to promote a safer, more orderly learning environment, from the inside out.
Every child should have access to excellent instruction, challenging academic opportunities, and the support necessary to succeed. My commitment is to keep raising the bar, pursuing greater student proficiency, closing the achievement gaps, strengthening accountability, and striving for excellence in every classroom.
At SPS, our goal should not simply be to meet expectations, but to pursue excellence in every classroom, every school, and every opportunity we provide for our students.
Accreditation is an important benchmark, but it should never become our finish line. We must continue raising expectations, strengthening instruction, measuring results, and ensuring that every student is given the opportunity and support necessary to reach proficiency and achieve his or her highest potential.
Public trust is strengthened when we communicate openly, provide meaningful access to information, answer difficult questions, and take responsibility for the decisions we make.
Exercising transparency and accountability is vital to the health of public education.
Transparency means more than simply making information available. It should be timely, understandable, accessible, and presented in a way that allows stakeholders to evaluate how our schools are performing, how public funds are being spent, and what decisions are being made on behalf of our stakeholders.
Accountability means being willing to examine the results, ask difficult questions, acknowledge areas that need improvement, and take appropriate action.
Parents, teachers, staff, and taxpayers deserve nothing less.
